Help test the new Mac and Linux builds

Mac and Linux are new test previews. Automated build checks do not replace testing on your machine.

  1. Create your local account and keep your password securely.
  2. Load a synthetic video, record a few procedure steps, trim it, and save a case.
  3. Close and reopen the app, sign in, reopen the case, and try an export.
  4. Report your OS version, Mac chip or Linux architecture, the step that failed, and the exact error. Remove identifying details from screenshots.

Do not send patient records, videos, passwords, or encryption keys.

Installation help and feedback

Updating and keeping your data

Back up your complete app data folder and original videos. Save your work and close all EyeSurgerySplits windows before installing an update. New installations start without case records. Updates replace application files; accounts and saved cases live separately.

Version 1.0.8 saves replacement videos inside the case folder, then deletes the old video after the new video and case data are saved successfully. Save both keeps the original. Live progress and estimated time remaining are included. Individual cases are kept in Surgery_Analyses and aggregate CSVs in Total_Cases under your app data folder.

If Windows setup reports “DeleteFile failed; code 5,” restart Windows before updating. Do not ignore file replacement errors or delete saved data.
